Kai Hill picked up the torch when she was sixteen. Her background in carpentry and textiles gives her metalwork a distinct level of texture, joinery, and approachability. In high school, Kai was a Junior artist in resident at Silverworks Studios in Glen Echo, MD.

She graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Art from the Colorado College, where she taught jewelry making in the Arts and Crafts department as an undergraduate. She studied under Tom Muir at Arrowmont, and Arthur Hash and Elliot Clapp at Pocosin.

Her work has been shown in the Colorado Springs Fine Arts center, the Snag JAMS 2018 publication, and the Schwa National Juried exhibition. You can find Kai at OQZO Metalsmith studio admiring all of the newest tools and inventions and tinkering with screws, hinges, and tiny motors.
