Metalsmithing Class Materials

The studio is well lit and equipped with eight student work benches and one instructor's bench plus all the bench tools necessary to make fine jewelry.

Safety first!  Each bench has its own Little Smith hand torch. The propane and oxygen tanks are mounted outside the building and connected to the benches through copper pipes with individual shut-off valves.

We also use silver solder, flux and pickle, so face masks and safety glasses will be provided for each bench.

Types of Metals

The silver metals are included in each class to make one project piece. Additional silver can be bought separately to make extra projects. A supply of Copper and Nu-Gold is free to use during class or studio time.
