Students will learn a variety of etching methods for creating patterns and images on metal without expensive equipment! Lisa will cover everything from a brief history of etching, to transferring images onto metal, as well as etching with both acid and electricity.

Topics covered will include safety, acid etching, electroetching, and how to make your own pattern plates for the rolling mill.

The class level is suitable for beginners. Students will learn to use a jeweler’s saw and metal files appropriately and effectively.
