Janet Harriman is a PMC Certified Instructor and has over 40 years experience as a metalsmith and jeweler. Janet makes all of her jewelry from her own original designs. She has won awards, exhibited and been published since 1970.

Born April 4, 1950 and married since 1991 to Richard Doble, Janet Harriman has been making jewelry and winning awards for over 40 years. She has been teaching workshops for 20 years. She has been working with PMC and BRONZclay for for five years, and developing state-of-the-art techniques for using the these new materials.

Janet was invited to the National PMC Conference in 2008 and 2010 at Purdue University to demonstrate her methods, and an article she wrote about one of her discoveries was published in Glass on Metal magazine. Her jewelry is included in three PMC Annual Exceptional Work in Metal Clay books and Contemporary Metal Clay Rings by Hattie Sanderson. She continues to experiment today.

Janet has also been teaching private jewelry classes regularly in her studio or in the student’s studio covering: BRONZclay, foldforming, jewelry fabrication techniques, enameling, forming, wire work, setting up a studio, torch safety, soldering, mixed media and more.
